At Ernies Bites, we’re passionate about giving pets the best that nature offers. Our journey began with Bunker, a black Labrador rescued by my husband at just 10 months old. Starved and mistreated, Bunker’s resilience brought our family together and still inspires everything we do today.

For years, we worked with Labrador Rescue to rehabilitate and rehome Labradors in need. This led to Teddy, our brown Labrador and foster fail, whose health and coat improved dramatically once we switched him to a nutrient-rich, freeze-dried diet. As Bunker aged, health challenges prompted us to explore the vital role of nutrition, which transformed his well-being—his blood work improved, and he regained his spark. Sadly, Bunker's journey was cut short by a brain tumour, but his legacy inspires our mission.

Later, we rescued Ernie, a golden retriever who was overfed, obese, and struggling with joint issues. Despite his past, Ernie’s resilient spirit shines through — he’s the heart of our business, and why we named it after him.
