Tasmanians love their pets - it’s part of our DNA. Yet, for too long, Hobart’s incredible pet-focused entrepreneurs and innovators haven't had a place to call home.
Ernie’s Bites is stepping up to try and bridge the gap. We are launching a curated, monthly market experience designed to showcase the very best of Hobart’s pet businesses, ranging from gourmet treats and artisanal accessories to world-class training and wellness services.
Event Details at a Glance
- Location: Long Beach Reserve, Sandy Bay (Grassed area, corner Longpoint Road and Beach Road).
- Kick-off Event: 29th March 2026, 9:00am - 1:30pm.
- Entry: Free for the public!
Following our kick-off events, we're looking to host regular markets on the 2nd Sunday of every month from October 2026.

Hobart’s newest pet‑lover expo launches at Long Beach Reserve, Sandy Bay, with Tasmanian Small Business Council opening the event at 10:30am. Have your fur-child’s photo taken with Snapz! Discover local artisan pet crafts, clothing, and care, plus crowd favourites Coffee by Donny, and OMG! Decadent Donuts.
We are also excited to be joined by Latin Market Vivo, who will delight our tastebuds us with their traditional Colombian food, delicious strawberries with premium Belgian chocolate, Vivo Juice and so many other tasty offerings.
